Ever think about that certain, ideal wine blend formula you would create, given the opportunity? A varietals dream team defined by personal preferences: simple, complex or absurd, that make sense to your palate.
For me, it would be a Tannat - Petite Sirah - Nebbiolo, evenly split, sentenced to 18 months in oak and 10 cellar years. Profound, bottom-of-the-ink-well juice, a corpulent challenge for the enologist to juggle strong profiles, varied aromas, obvious tannins and craftily round up all elements. Serve only with grilled beef, horns still attached to it.
I would call it "Cuernos del Toro", as in "Grab the bull by..."

Fantasy Wine Blend - What would you mix?

No desire to be a winemaker, but one blend that I am looking for is Zinfandel and Sangiovese. Foxall and Napagirl have mentioned this blend--as I recall, Foxall's was from a Paso Robles winery and Napagirl's was from Gold Country. It almost sounds like too much of two good things, but I am looking.
