Edit area not saving changes

Posted by VegasOenophile, Jan 28, 2012.

I tried to correct some listing info on a couple of wines and in the edit screen when clicking SAVE, an error pops up and the changes aren't saving.

I am also having trouble uploading images. It says it 100% complete but the window doesn't clsoe on its own and when I close the image is not there. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks for the reports guys.  @Vegas - I think, from your description, it seemed like we had an issue with the  Facebook dialogue popping up with each review edit (do you use facebook?) - I fixed this issue, and tested editing in all the major browsers and everything seemed copacetic.  If you're still having issues, can you please tell me what the error says, and which browser you're using?

@tabednar - I believe the problem with the images was that the upload reaches 100%, but then the server takes a few moments to finalize saving the image + thumbnails, and this wasn't reported.  I've updated the image uploader to take this into account, so it doesn't reach 100% prematurely.

I am using Firefox.  The issue is when making changes to the wine info in the hub edit area... when correcting location, varietal or other info, when clicking SAVE, en error comes up and so the revisions are not saving.

I managed to successfully edit some wine details in firefox, so it looks like something that might affect a specific wine.  Can you please post a link to the wine you were trying to edit, and the updated details?

Sorry, there were quite a few and none of them saved.  I got the error every time and I have no clue which of the many wines I reviewed were culprits.  If it happens again, I'll post.

No worries, and please let me know where you see it again.   It sounds like it may have been a temporary server issue.
