- Drinkable or not?
Good Evening one and all,
I have 3 forgotten bottles that I recently found while clearing my shed. Can anyone tell me if they will be drinkablle?
1/ Chateau Terrasson...Cotes de Castillon 1993 (Christophe & Marie-Jo Lavau)
2/ Grand Listrac, Listrac-Medoc, 1998
3/ Celliers de Dauphins, Cote du Rhone 1999
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated, thankyou

Evening.
Well the whole clearing the shed context sounds very scary, wines may not be happy out in the shed, they are partial to cool, dark places. Having said that all the wines should be drinkable. The Grand Listrac has the most promise. The Terrasson is probably the weakest. Only one way to find out though!

Hi and Good morning,
Yes I admit it is scary...however for the most part these bottles were in a dark cool place and were laid down. I will give them a try, and let you know...shd I survive the experience!!
Thanks for your input

Shed sounds dark and cool - which is good, I just have the image of garden tools lying next to fine aged wine!

I love the idea of unearthing a bunch of interesting wines that you have since forgotten about.....even if 1 of the 3 is drinkable, what a great story to share the next time you pop a bottle with friends. I am looking forward to reading your post on the outcome

Abryksa - its like finding money down the back of the sofa, or even better, a forgotten $20 bill in an old jacket....
