Hi, I'm Jon Hesford, the owner, winemaker, tractor driver and general dogsbody of Domaine Treloar, a 10 hectare vineyard in the Roussillon, France.
I changed careers from IT back in 2002 and studied oenology and viticulture in New Zealand and was then assistant winemaker at Neudorf Vineyards there from 2003 to 2005.
My wife and I founded Domaine Treloar (her surname) in 2006 rescuing some old vineyards and modernising an even older winery. We currently sell in France, the UK, Germany and Denmark but our production is pretty small so our wines are not that easy to find.
I'm still a wine lover first and a winemaker second. I look forward to joining you all on this site.

Hello, welcome to Snooth, it's always good to see people joining the site. You might notice the Cabernet Sauvignon tasting that is happening at the moment, so feel free to locate some Cabernet Sauvignon wine and add to that. I just had a quick look at your website, it looks like you make some interesting wines -- I'll look out for them when I'm in France later in the year.

Thanks for the welcome. I will go and do my Hub stuff "de suite".
I've enjoyed other wine forums like Wine-Pages in the UK and dipped a toe in Mark Squire's pages but this site seems to make better use of technology and attract a wider and younger type of wine lover. Looking forward to annoying my wife by spending more time online!
