I am serving I progni valpolicella ripasso at a dinner party tonight. How far ahead of drinking should I open it? (2010)

Hi Zing,

It would be helpful to know what you're serving!  If you have meat...I wouldn't worry too much about actually decanting it, unless it's for presentation.  It won't be quite the brute that an Amarone would be (typically decanted one-two hours).  An hour would be fine. Not more.

Please follow up after and let us know how your party went...and of course the wine!
