Hello! My name is Constance Chamberlain and I am very thankful to have been chosen as a Mentor for Snooth!
As it says in my intro line, my expertise lies in Austria, Chile, and also Greece - I've also dabbled in many other wines around the world including Australia, Argentina, France, Spain, California, and more. Currently, I am a marketing-public relations professional who does promotional work for the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, Wines of Chile, and Pernod Ricard Wines USA. In the past, I spent two years working on the Wines from Santorini campaign and have done smaller projects for bodies such as Wine Australia, Wines of Spain, and Vinexpo.
I am currently working on my Diploma from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and hope to finish within the next year. I am also playing with the idea of other wine education programs, but no concrete plans have been made yet! I am also the proud recipient of the 2012 Les Dames d'Escoffiers of New York/International Wine Center scholarship award.
I first fell in love with wine while studying abroad in Rhodes, Greece, but it wasn't until a few years later that i realized I could make an entire career out of it! (I also had to turn 21!) Greece made me realize how amazing wine is not only to drink, but in its relation to culture. My major in college was sociology so I was fascinated by this fact! A year out of college while studying for my LSATs I decided wine was what I would do. I worked with a boutique importer for a short period of time in New York City before taking my current position a few months later... I've never looked back.
In addition to my full time job, I'm also a freelance wine tasting consultant and freelance wine writer. You can check out my articles regularly on DoValle.com, BoozeMenus.com (wine of the week posts and venue write-ups!), and in Drink Me Magazine... you might even see a post or two here at some point!
While in the business, I've had the chance to explore vineyards in Australia, Austria, Greece, Chile, California, Virgina, and Washington - I hope to add many more to that list soon! At the end of the month (May) I will be taking an even more in-depth tour of the wine regions in Austria than I have before so stay tuned for some tasting notes!
I love to learn and the good thing about wine is that there is always something new to learn! So come learn with me!

Very pleased to meet you, Constance. Of the regions that you mention, the one that interests me the most is Chile. However, there is so much that I don't know from every region that I know that I will benefit from all your contributions.

Looking forward to connecting with you further - Chile is super exciting right now. I had the chance to go in February and the things they're doing there are really great! Making great strides in soil analysis, winemaking, and are really starting to focus on terroir which is great! Stay tuned!
