Canary Island

Posted by kylewolf, Dec 17, 2009.

Hey everyone,

So my girlfriend is buggin me that it is about time to arrange a nice jaunt to europe. We are thinking about destinations and I am pushing for canary islands (wine, beaches, warmth, you know the drill). But I was wondering what kind of wine is popular in the canary islands? what can I expect? and anyone know any good wineries there? (I looked it up on snooth and found a hand full but with no ratings.

any help would be appreciated.

From a general description of the weather for Tenerife South (the warmer, drier end of the island):
"Winter, from December till April, is very warm. The average high and low temperatures do not fall below 18ºC and 12ºC respectively. While 18ºC isn’t quite warm enough for uninterrupted sunbathing, it is t-shirt weather. On some days it can get up into the low 20s but this is not to be relied upon."

It's 22ºC/72ºF right now.
