My name is Stephanie and I've been in the Quebec restaurant business for four years. I recently moved to China and am slowly learning about their rapidly growing wine industry. I'd love to talk to you guys, who all seem really knowledgable and passionate, about the things that I'm learning, and to hear your latest thoughts and encounters with our favorite drink. Hope to hear from you soon

Welcome to Snooth, Steph! You will indeed find some very passionate personalities on this site, which can lead to some rather spirited conversations... no pun intended. :-) How did you come to move from Quebec to China. That's a hell of a move! I used to live in Maine and my family would sometimes takes trips up to Quebec (where my ancestry lies) and Halifax (where my father went to school at Nova Scotia Tech). Beautiful area up there.

Welcome, Stephanie. I will second Craig's comments on getting help from the Snooth players.
Do you have any favorite wines. I'll bet that somebody here will be eager to exchange ideas with you.
There is also a lot of curiosity about the wine scene in China. We look forward to hearing your first hand impressions.

Which part of China, and what are you drinking there now? What issues are you finding as a wine consumer, and if you're in the restaurant business still, as someone in that business dealing with wine? All sorts of questions, and look forward to hearing a lot more from you!

Stephanie, also wanted to ask you what your experience has been with the Bordeaux imposters. Are you seeing much of a problem with this?
