Does anyone know this group

They can ship to Australia and maybe part of the solution to sourcing US wine I can't get here

Thanks in advance for your help

Oops, I hope that was only a Freudian slip?!?!?!

Can't offer any feedback other than seeing that it is rated highest of the wine clubs. I have not had had luck with wine clubs in the past. Always an obscure label from an obscure region. Never had a gem. This club, OTOH, seems to deliver with the goods in the Signature and Aged Cab clubs and they are highly rated.

How do they get away with shipping to oz but no one else can?  Just curious....

Have not got that far, but it seems like if I send it to someone as a present I get around the tax issues, maybe something to do with them being a club or such.

I just wanted to get some info from the forum before proceeding.

By the way can you recommend a couple of good local Chardonnays and Pinots say in the USD20-60 range and I will try these guys out and see if it works.

So you can ship to someone from 'CA Wine Club' and duties are waived, but if you try to ship to the same person from BPWine or KLWines or... they aren't? That seems like splitting hairs with an SEM, even for a tax bureaucracy....

It is strange but I will need to test my hypotheis before drawing a conclusion

But if it works, well .... such is life!  At least I can share some of the US wine experiences with all of you

Alas, SH, you need a Dry Creek Valley wine club so you can get some of our best zins.  And maybe a CA/OR pinot club, because we noticed that you were being more than usually overcharged for those. You seem to be able to get everything else, and the wine club commitments are often as others noted.

I don't know the club but I recently visited Castoro Cellars in Paso Robles and their wines are very good and reasonably priced.  They may not be the "best" of Paso like a Justin or a Vina Robles, but they are excellent examples of Paso Zins.
