Being an avid reader I'm looking to add some books on Wine to my christmas list this year.

Factual,reference,biographies.  Any ideas !

i  only have a couple:  "wine for dummies," and "swallow this."  can't remember the authors.  sorry.  my husband has some about growing grapes and making wine, if you're interested in that.

If you like real life stories... ones that tell the not so nice truths on running a winery, you might like this one:

At Home in the Vineyard by Susan Sokol Blosser She and her husband were pioneers in the wine industry up in oregon, when there was only a handful (if that) present.  I would call this a biography, and enjoyed reading about her experience over the years.

I'm about half way through a book called

'Educating Peter - How anybody can become an (almost) instant wine expert' by Lettie Teague,

enjoying it a lot.
