Virginia-oriented update. For whatever reason, there was a rumor floating around out there that Blenheim Vineyards was closing its doors. TO THAT, I would say I'm not surprised and very happy to report in the voice of Colonel Potter, that rumor was unadaulterated horse hockey.
There is news from Blenheim though: They've sold out of their debut vintage of their 2008 red blend "Painted Red" (327 cases).
There's a link to Blenheim vineyards here and embedded in the picture above should you want to check them out- which I would highly recommend.
It's no surprise that the "Painted Red" sold out so quickly, as the label was painted by part-owner Dave Matthews.
Yea. That Dave Matthews. "And all the little ants are marching..." and so on.
So, congradulations Ms. Kirsty Harmon, and best of luck for the upcoming harvest!
(The Blenheim Vineyards tasting "Hall", which is impressive yet still rustic.)

Yea you should see it Greg. The write up on their (new-ish) wine maker would interest you (and all of those of the Chevalier du Tastvin) might I add.
