As you know, NG, I have had really good FR PN's but also been a bit disappointed on occasion.  The pinotage is supposed to be among the best, but I always think of pinotage as exactly what it is:  a hybrid of PN that sacrifices a fair bit of PN's magic for predictability.  Having had a couple experiences with Pinotage, I haven't really been tempted to go back, although it was fine as far as it went.  I will be interested to see what you think of it, if you go.

Any recent tastings of Fort Ross, foxall.. or anyone else??  Is this worth tastng?  Just to go to the Marina district is worth it for me since I WANT to live there! LOL!  But seriously.. suggestions re: Ft. Ross?

Worth going to see if you like one or more of their offerings.  But I will definitely let you know how the FR PN goes over at T-day, since it will be one of the wines.

fort ross has various labels.... some better than others... right now we're serving a chard by them... solid, but not mind blowing... i'm excited to see what they bring....

regardless, it's always a great time at bin 38
