Berserker Day

Posted by Lucha Vino, Jan 28, 2014.

Did anybody go berserk on Berserker Day over on the Wine Berserkers website?

I pulled the trigger on a three pack of Super Tuscan style reds from Kaella Winery based out of Woodinville.  This one is 86% Sangiovese, 7% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon.  The grapes are sourced from Ciel du Cheval, Conor Lee and Ambassador .  Three outstanding vineyards with the first and last in the Red Mountain AVA.

I was out all day at the Brunello tasting yesterday.

I forgot about it. Checked it out when I got home, but didn't want to buy anything after tasting wine all day. Would have picked up some Lagier Meredith tho. Luca - your shoice sounds brilliant. I would have taken that too. It's why I exercised restraint!

There is still an offer from Cold Heaven wines, all 100% Viognier..worth checking out

I'm on a SIWBM and stuck to it. There were some incredible deals, I showed great restraint.

Lagier Meredith, Cabot, Briceland, Sandler, Wilde Farm, Liquid Farm, Random Wine. Co, Jemrose, Chesters Anvil, Joseph Swan all caught my eye. It was a brutal day to say the least.

Free "Hand Job" from Cold Heaven on one of their deals! :)

Just caught a few extra Liquid Farm mostly to qualify for the magnum raffle.

Probably should've grabbed some Cabot.

I think someone from Briceland used to post on here. Too lazy to check.

I've gotta start spending a little more time on WB.  But most of those are wines I've bought at discount from the wineries, at least the ones I want.  At some point, I need to try some of that Liquid Farm.

MReff, GregT said the highlight of that tasting was the '12 Rosso.  What's our take?  And what are the chances of another "Drink GdP's Wine" event in 2014?

OT- sorry to hear about SIWBM, but i get it... uggh.

Foxy, ANDREW46 was from Briceland... I chatted with him a bit.  He was the apprentice winemake for his parents.  Had some good wines coming out of the North Coast...

I also want to try some Liquid Farm Chard....
