Beaujolais Nouveau

Posted by WineGeekJen, Nov 25, 2009.

I know there is a lot of hype about Beaujolais Nouveau, but I just tried the 2009 Georges DuBoef last week and found it to be a very pleasing drinking wine. I think it would be great with Thanksgiving dinner. Would you server Beaujolais Nouveau with your turkey dinner?

We talk about Beaujolais Nouveau on this week's East Coast Wine Geek's Podcast (and have quite a good time in the process!). You can listen at http://www.eastcoastwinegeeks.com or download it from iTunes (East Coast Wine Geeks Episode 33)

Also, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I've served Beaujolais Nouveau at Thanksgiving before. I usually try to have a few wines that people can pick from. Some like reds with the meal, some want whites...plus I get to try them all! :-)

As I stated before, I drank MOMMESSIN Beaujolais Nouveau 2009 at the ALLIANCE FRANCAISE, and it was as it should be and even better! LIVELY, AGILE...well..young and hopeful!
It was served with a plate of FRENCH CHARCUTERIE....(HAMS and SAUSAGES...cured,aged)

THE 2009 GEORGES DUBOEUF BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU was highly rated by WINE SPECTATOR at their 2009 tasting of the BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU in NEW YORK.

FRIENDS OF MINE IN FRANCE HAVE TELEPHONED ME TO SAY THAT 2009 BURGUNDY may well be the best in FRANCE fothe last 50 years.

They also supported the fact that 2009 BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU is better than the last few years. I agree.
