Dosi is a solid, middle of the road quality producer. 2003 being an intensely warm vintage yielded wines that were fruity and smooth, perhaps unusually so for Nebbiolo and barbera based wines. This blend is 50/50 of fruit from la Morra, a commune in Barolo known for elegant, fruity wines, so you wrap all that up and you would get quite a rich, expressive wine.
Interestingly Dosio has some stores of back vintage Baroo which appear in the states from time to time at aggressively high pricing. Not sure why but someone out there thinks these wines are worth much more than I do.
I don't see anyone who currently is carrying the wine but the Georgetown Package store in Redding Ct. seems to be a big fan of the wines. Perhaps they can special order it. They currently do have the 2002 in stock, which from a vintage perspective is the antithesis of the 2003. Cold vintage, rainy, lean wines
