- Anyone interested in a Wine long weekend in St. Martin FWI in May or June
While down here in Sunny St. Martin I have been exploring the idea of hosting a Snooth Weekend adventure on the French side of St. Martin. There are many great restaurants here interested in hosting wine dinners and the local distributor could be prodded by the producers they represent to supply some samples. We could stay at the fantastic Grand Case Beach Club GCBC.com, right on the beach.
Just floating a trial balloon to see if there is any interest.

Don't rub it in - its rather cold and snowy here in NYC!
However, sounds like it could be a lot of fun...

Sounds like it could be lots of fun. I would be interested in braving that tropical summer sunlight for some good wine as long as there is a shade umbrella and SPF 600 with my name on it.

I would love to but not sure if I will be able to afford it (or find a babysitter). Definitely worth considering if you get more info!

Just for an idea of pricing;
Jetblue from NYC to SXM
$460 round trip 6/4/09 - 6/8/09
Accommodations at Grand Case Beach Club
For a simple hotel room = $650
for a 1 bedroom unit = $850
for a 2-bedroom unit = $1400
Meals and such for say 3 great dinners = $450 per person
Other meals and fun stuff = $300
Total per person approx $1500-$1900 depending on accommodations. I think I would be able to get the rate down somewhat on the accommodations depending on the number of attendees.

Well that's a good start! I'm gonna give the Hotel a call and see what discount I can wrangle based on this preliminary response and the few emails I received!
Staycation? Not for us. It's Snoothcation 2009!
