Any way to document/review wines that aren't listed under the search?

Posted by Lushsot, Mar 11, 2010.

I am savoring a very tasty Cab Franc at the moment and am unable to find it under my search to document my important research into all things grape derived and tasty.  Can you somehow just create a review and put in the label info instead of having to select it?  The Cab Franc I am enjoying is a McKenzie Mueller Cabernet France 2004 Napa Valley (unfiltered).  Any ideas?  Signed Lushsot (technically challenged)

Actually, the wine exists on our database.  In the Search box, type "Mckenzie-Mueler Vineyard and Winery Cabernet Franc 2004". This will take you to the wine as it shows on the snooth system.  Scroll to the bottom and enter your review.  You may not have entered the exact wording on the wine label or perhaps made a typo.  This is just a guess on my part, though.

In future, if you find you cannot locate the wine using our search, you have an option to create your own listing.  If Snooth reports that no such wine is found, check the screen carefully and you should see the option toward the right hand side of the page asking if you want to set up a new record. Select and follow along through a mostly self-explanatory procedure for setting up a new wine on the database.

Hope this works for you.  Cheers!

Thank you Zufrieden!  I did not type the whole name in, I just typed the winery name and Cab and then just the winery thinking this would bring up all wines under that winery but in the future I will type the full name.

No problem.  Happy reviewing!
