Wine Talk

Another day in the life...

Posted by outthere, Apr 18, 2014.

Had a great time, as usual, this past Wednesday attending the Annual Las Madres Winemakers Lunch in Carneros.

Full story here

There was a connection to a previous thread here about Bliss Hill and Windoze XP. If you look closely at the photo at about 11 o'clock you will see Bliss in the background directly to the left of the power pole.

Readers Digest Version: 2013 was a phenomenal vintage for Las Madres. The wines are powerful and structured even via young barrel samples. Best year yet for the site. 2014 is already underway with vines pushing out clusters in preparation for bloom.

Glad you were wined and dined in the midst of such an interesting recent topic!  I was once again contributing to the economic engine of our conjoined countries and thus to the greater good of all  :)

Wow.  An outstanding event, again, and an excellent report, OT.  Thank you for the hard work. ;-)

And a tough life it is. Sonoma must really blow this time of year... ;-)

That looks like it was a great event OT.

Speaking of tough days... I am attending this event next Friday evening in Woodinville.  It probably won't be as sunny and warm as Sonomo.  I think the wines will measure up favorably!  I will be sure to provide a full report.
