Another bug report: edit function basically unusable...

As noted in another thread, when I tried to edit the text in a post of mine and pressed the edit button, a text box opened but the window is skewed to the right. It's at least half covered/obscured by the boxes on the right side of the page. Accordingly, I couldn't see/correct huge portions of the text.

I've encountered this several times recently, and it basically makes the edit function unusable....

Interestingly, the original post at top of the thread doesn't skew right, though subsequent posts further down the thread do....

Are you still having the issue with the edit functionality?  If so, please let us know which web browser (Firefox, IE, etc) you're using so we can fix it ASAP.

I think the OP is supposed to skew a bit more left than the replies - it always has, hasn't it?

It has pro's and con's but overall I think it's good that only the replies skew to the right to the OP, and that you don't have replies to replies. Things can really get "tangentional" pretty quick that way.

Sorry to be so slow in replying, Chris, but I haven't been posting (and especially editing) much recently.

Yes, I'm still having problems with half the edit box being devoured by the advertisements and other boxes over to the right. Just now it happened on this thread:

I was using Firefox.

Separately, I find with Safari that the format of the posts, especially from old threads, is particularly messy. The shift to wrap further left below the avatar icons and stats for each poster is horrible, and the spacing between lines even lessens. Real jumble in the top righthand side of the post boxex before getting lower than the bottom of the avatar/stats.

Still a few bugs to fix out there, it would seem... ;-(

Thanks for the report David, both of those (highly annoying) bugs are fixed now.

Thanks, Chris. Will let you know here if I encounter the problem(s) again....
