Alerts to responses?

Posted by vintagesf, Jan 7, 2009.

I'm new here so forgive me if this is a repeated topic but I couldn't fine any references in the forum. If I post a question, will I get an email alert that there has been a response? Some discussion sites offer this (ie, you can subscribe to a topic) and I find it useful. Thanks.

Yes - you'll get an email alert when there's a response to a topic that you started or posted a response to.

You should be getting an email about this response to your question right about now...

Right -- you'll get an email about the first reply that appears on your topic, but not the subsequent ones. If you visit the thread by clicking the link in the email the alerts reset and you'll receive one email.

At some point we plan to allow you to opt in to/out of a thread's alerts without posting a message first.
