2008 Napa Harvest report...

Posted by Philip James, Aug 12, 2008.

I was just starting to read this article (sounds like it will be a bumper harvest) to my surprise (pleasant) found that it was mainly about our good friends at Larkmead:

Dan - good stuff, maybe you can fill us in on more details when you have time. Thanks

Philip, you are ahead of the curve.... I am planning a harvest post / update with tomorrow's blog. Sorry, but you'll have to hang on another day.... Dan

Looks like harvest has started in Sonoma too:

As for quality, I don't know ... I've heard mixed things from people. Quantity is definitely less. It seems more vineyards in Sonoma got frost damage than in Napa.

Hang on? This is the 21st century - who has any patience left (other than you farmer types...)

I'm enjoying reading these harvest reports. Things in the tech world are slightly more deterministic. Perhaps it's party because of the tech boom that Mother Nature is being such a wild card these days.

Mother Internet does throw a curveball or two herself, of course.
