2006 Beaujolais nouveau - Drinkable

Posted by madmanny, May 10, 2010.

Just found three bottles hiding (in plain sight) in my cellar.  Put them in a place where I'd remember to drink them.  Oh well.

Think they're ok to drink?  Good for a summer sangria?   Other uses?

I came across a 2007 the other day the was lurking in my fridge.  It was vile and not good for much but cleaning the drain.  Perhaps you'll have better luck than me, although these are meant to be drunk almost immediately, so chances are not good.  Mine was murky and a little bitter, so I wouldn't have even wanted to use it for a sangria.

It's unfortunate, but I think they are goners. Even last years vintage went bad within a few months past when they should have been consumed. Nouveau is not ment to be stored at all. Have to agree with Chad. Might be a good weed killer by now! LOL :)
