1994 FX Pichler Steinertal Riesling

Posted by Daniel Tisch, Dec 21, 2009.

Color: light yellow
Nose: petrol and mineral. Lemon oil and custard. Very perfumed lemon, grapefruit oil, seasalt and lemon cream.
Palate: grapefruit pith and rind, searing and zingy acids....very refreshing. Lemon oil. Smooth. Pulverized white stone. Petrol custard. Crushed seashell. Seasalt. Minerality is dominant. Very long finish. Very good structure. Very clear and precise. Medium complexity (no 94 FXP Kellerberg) but showing all it has. Essence of distilled grain on finish. If stored well, still a beauty....if you like aged Austrian riesling.
