Sandy - I've been hinting around something food and wine pairing related on Snooth for some time on the forums, and I'll continue to do so, until I'm free to announce it.
Continuing the theme, when I looked at that wine (not that vintage, but other vintages from the same producer), I saw that the "Sommelier says":
"This fruity white has a solid body, allowing it to partner perfectly with these meals"
"these meals" included Lasagne, Calzones, Moroccan Spiced Meatballs, Lamb Pilaf and others.
Its an aged Chenin Blanc, and it would pair well with anything from salads, to spicy rice dishes, or sushi / seafood.
Scallops would be a good choice. For some reason, I'm just drawn to something moroccan at the moment.
