Philip (and sorry, John, I'm not attempting to hijack the thread), have you tried Reisetbauer Apfel Cuvee Sparkling Apple Wine? Very well done, from a guy in Austria who knows surprisingly well how to make fruit wines....

I'm not much of a barrel fermented chardonnay fan, but this wine blows me away. Ripe white nectarine and peach aromas are followed by layers of stonefruit and a rich, creamy mouthfeel. I'm buying a case for Turkey day...
