"spicies" on Snooth

Spicy floral nose with some lychee nut. A little bitter in the mouth and on the finish. Tried pairing it with sushi tonight and it was a disaster.

Yalumba Shiraz & Viognier Barossa 2007

Starting at $8.89 Snoothrank: 3/5

Initially sweet on the nose, with a little spice. A little too sweet, actually. Still friendly and drinkable. A little more acid or spicy flavors would bring much more depth and interest to this.

Fetzer Gewurztraminer Valley Oaks 2007

Starting at $7.99 Snoothrank: 3/5

A totally unexpected showing of this bottle. I had expected a modern, oak influenced candy shop of a Barolo but what I got was a balanced and finessed example of an 11 year old Barolo just coming to age. Color was a...

Paolo Scavino Barolo Carobric 1997

Starting at $94.86 Snoothrank: 4/5

Elegant, meaty and spicy. Best with a gentle decanting.

Bonny Doon Vineyard Syrah le Pousseur 2006

Starting at $20.00 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

Ruby red towards purple. Transparent with long oily legs. Nose: warm, spicy thyme and rosemary, dark cherries and some vanilla. Mouth: Powerful Mediterranean style, balanced with nice tannins and fruit. Pleasant,...

A nice spicy, fruit filled wine for the price.

A good Sicilian wine. Sweet cherry flavor that is well balanced with plum and medium to high tannins. Drank with a spicy pasta dish. Held up to the flavor and the peppery taste of the arugula used in the dish. A very...

Cantine Colosi Nero d'Avola 2007

Starting at $15.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

the perfect definition of a QPR. This wine can actually age which I find shocking in a white wine under $7. Lots of petrol right now. It went great with spicy asian food, but I'm gonna get a few and cellar them.

Banrock Station Riesling 2007

Starting at $7.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
March 2009

Deep spicy, licorice aroma with a medium to sweet fresh taste. Value wine.

Peter Lehmann Shiraz 2005

Starting at $10.46 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

Current & Spicy aroma. Velvety on the palate. Initial dryness with unfolding flavor. A good wine for it's value @ $11.99 @ NH outlet

Castell del Remei Gotim Bru Costers del Segre 2005

Starting at $9.89 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
