This wine packs a velvety punch with lots of ripe fruit, smoothed-out tannins (just drank--7 years after vintage), and a long finish. The syrah came through nicely to tone down the cabernet a bit. A rich delicious glass....

Pulled this out of a corner in the cave. tasted next to a 1995 RRV same producer. Notes were close. color - tomato red nose - herbal, cherry, earth mouth - sour cherry, light coco finish - medium both wine held up well....

3/4 bottles I had acquired at a value discount were excellent. One had a spongy cork and had broken down. The merchant stood behind my purchase and made a substitution. Nice dry full bodied red wine. Best to drink ASAP...

Opened this on a bit of a celebration. Got it reasonably form the cellar of a liquor store near me. I worried at its age. There was a lot of sediment in this wine, so I poured it into a decanter through a straining...

Light and fruity. Had to decant because of sediment, but it was worth the trouble. Very nice with cedar-plank grilled salmon!

Whoever rated this wine in August of 88 was closer to what I'm feeling right now. An amazing steal of a purchase from a private collection at an insane price, and I'm glad I popped the cork now, though it could have kept...
