"Nuts" on Snooth

Eric Guido wrote in the forum topic: "Hi My Name Is" / Favorite Red
November 2009

Welcome aboard, but wow, what an easy question that will probably drive most of us nuts simply because it's so difficult to nail it down to one wine. I figure I'd keep it simple, one of my favorite affordable reds right...

An instant almond rush on nose. In mouth, citrus fruit then distinctly floral right at the back of an extremely deep palate. Oak ageing gives a toasted nutty finish, ending with a refreshing touch of bitterness.

Richard, There are two 'stages' for Hunter Semillon, First is two weeks from bottling which is when it is fresh, crispy, lemony, limey, etc and Second at 5 years which is the time it takes to develop all those nutty,...

October 2009

I just don't appreciate Shiraz the way I do some other wines. This one is full bodied and fruity, with lingering flavors of tasty sweet things like chocolate and jams. As a sipping wine it is just too much before a meal,...

Layer Cake Shiraz 2008

October 2009

Here's a nice, friendly, easy, crispy and floral dry white wine from Dragasani ... ripe apples, citrus, green nuts and fresh bakery. Though it lacks subtlety, it is an honest fresh & revigorating, easy to drink companion...

October 2009

Red apples on the nose, with a nice caramel scent. There are also notes of cashew and oak upfront. The wine has good bite upfront, before moving to a mellow, wide mid palate of butter, caramel, candied apple and cinammon....

Sutherland Chardonnay 2007

Starting at $18.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

Beautiful salmon color. Nose of lychee and jackfruit with a little fresh cream. ... with a little macademia nuts. Good acidity in the finish. This wine needs a dessert of , tropical fruits with cream. 2003 vintag

The beauty starts in the color - with a deep straw yellow hue. It continues with the aroma of orange peel and touch of almond. On the palate is a round lush touch of orange peel again along with a hint of winter spices and...

Nutty and toasty nose. Big rusty smoldering nutty flavor that's nicely offset by a good deal of acidity. Nice complex finish.

Corinne & Thierry Drouin "La Roche" 2007

Starting at $20.00 Snoothrank: 3.5/5
