"grass" on Snooth

November 2009

So it's bare knuckles eh? As far as rationality, sometimes they do almost seem ... been to I'm sure they have grass growing between the rows. I'm sure they've done it in CdP but I can't recall who off the top, but in...

Very light straw color with a very tropical fruit and pear nose. Light bodies ... acidity and hints of a green/grass flavor. Firm, lingering aftertaste with citrus notes. Similar to a Pinot Gris with less sweetness

Guilbaud Freres le Soleil Nantais Blanc 2005

Starting at $8.14 Snoothrank: 3/5
October 2009

A lot of the zest of a New Zealand SB, without that over-the-top grapefruit ... many. Fresh with a flinty-grassy middle, and a moderately long finish

Natura Sauvignon Blanc 2008

Starting at $11.29 Snoothrank: 3/5
October 2009

Grassy, crisp nose with plenty of stone fruits. Definitely a crisp and acidic style of Chardonnay, with a lot of refreshing fruit and a nicely oaked finish with a hint of cedar, corn, and toast.

Sutherland Chardonnay 2007

Starting at $18.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

Greg DP et al, First, my apologies for what I now see was not a very clear ... here. "Someone picked up grassy notes in that wine, interesting..." And next time I try a glass I keep that in mind - and often wind up...

October 2009

A true Cab Franc, earthy, grassy, and delicious! A deep red color with flavors of hazelnuts, figs and black plums.

RIVINO Cabernet Franc 2006

Starting at $25.00 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

Hey all, I don't know how many people remember your first favored wine, but I ... with a light background of grass with a semi-smeet citrus, pear, and grapfruit. the Palate is a rich sweetness, only slightly syrupy,...

Aromas of Olive, hazelnut, wet rocks and a bit of butter. Palate has zippy ... melon and a bit of green grass. The mid-palate is sweet which mixes well with this bottles lively acidity giving it a medium weight. Sour...

Sartarelli Verdicchio Dei Castelli di Jesi 2004

Starting at $13.00 Snoothrank: 3/5
October 2009

Surprisingly grassy nose for a chardonnay, with hay and green apple aromas. Great mouthfeel, this is a voluptuous wine thats rich and smooth. Full of fat tropical fruit flavors. Slightly lacking in acidity, the wine comes...

Hess Chardonnay Monterey 2007

Starting at $9.99 Snoothrank: 3/5

Described as a French-style Chardonnay and aged six-eight months in French oak ... lovely floral and slight grassy notes on the nose and in the mouth. It’s not as smokey as the Cuvee; a result of being aged in older...

Sharpe Hill Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay 2007
