Gewuerztraminer: I would serve it with a typical Alsace dish. What about a typical "Flammkuchen" (Tarte Flambée)? It is easy to prepare and you´d have a real Alsace experience. Let me know if you need a recipe.
For the price, a surprising flavorful wine. The '07 is a bit young, but was full of fruit. Went well with the steak dinner (including the cheese plate and chocolate dessert) with which it was served.
Solid dessert port. Pairs well with a beef dinner and is certainly drinkable on it's own.
