Bargin

  Yeah, have actually tried this while helping some friends launch a wine ... extra $25 too much, a good bargin, or just right? And I'd suggest the difference isn't linear (ie moving from 85 to 90 is likely worth less than moving from 90 to 95)

  I love this wine. #1 for a bargin pinot noir is is really good. It is very fruity and easy to drink. It is sweet and goes well with a casual dinner, pizza even. :) I recommend it for anyone looking for a good wine at a bargin price.

Then you have the beginer that's only interested in the sweet but slowly moves over to NZ Sauvignon blanc's then may move over to SSB's and come to a screaming halt when a Chardonnay is put in play (I think 'cause poor Chardonnay has had an absoult thrashing). The more press something gets the more requests you get........ ABC Anything But Chardonnay (or don't) NZ Sauvignon Blanc the best in the world New World Wines from Chile French wines the bench mark American wines a hidden treasure Thai wines a new World experiance for warmer regions Just examples but these are the things that bring the enthusiast out who'll then request the Pinot gri or grigo, the viognier or the cortese. Then (if you work in a store) you have the people who are enthusiasts and they'll ask for a recommendation as long as you have some sort of relationship with the customer. I have noticed though a lot more people asking for regions or tasting against NZ wine (or across the ditch as we say) I think advertising works that's why I prefer things like snooth.....everyone/anyone can have an opinion    (hide)
