"why New Yorkers seem to be so enamored with famed French wines and classics from Napa, yet rarely enjoy our own state's products. Its a good point. Why don't we find more New York State wine on New York State wine lists...

Another event in Northern California Wine Country! This weekend (Nov. 20 - 21) the wineries of the Carneros Region (Sonoma & Napa) are holding their annual Holiday in Carneros. I have never been to this event but there...

Thank you Dmcker. I share your opinion about permits... As long as what you do does not affect anybody else, why should one need a permit... So far the soil is easy to remove and we stay away from the foundation. And...

Good value at $16 CDN. My preference is to aerate or rest this wine before serving. Complex nose with a deep fruity flavor with a short finish. Great party wine and matches well with a grilled beef tenderloin.

Richard Hamilton Cabernet Sauvignon Hut Block 2005

Starting at $10.65 Snoothrank: 3/5

Mildly aromatic but well balanced, low acidity with a moderate buttery finish. Dark cherry flavor with a hint of spice. Good value @ $27 CDN.
