Nevertheless, this wine easily owns pricier, points-hyped blends that get the end-of-year thumbs up (cough, top 100) in the glossy magazines. This particular wine clearly represents a masterclass in blending technique by Pedro Marchevsky. The actual, correct variety composition of the blend is: 55% Malbec 15% Bonarda 10% Cabernet Sauvignon 10% Syrah 10% Merlot Unbelievable balance of flavors, with the depth, color and backbone that Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon contribute, as well as the refined tannins, aromas and berry goodness (and great acidity) that Malbec and Bonarda bring about. Leave this one open for several hours before enjoying. Masterful blending with real, regional expression of these varieties. What a rare treat.
