If you are a Cab Franc lover this is a must try - they really got this one right - the price started at $20 and now my local wine store has it for $28! Looks like it won't last so try it while you can. I believe it will age quite well - I have a few as...

This is a great reminder of the versatility Cabernet Franc offers to the wine lover. Peconic Bay's maritime climate seems to coddle the Cabernet Franc grapes allowing them to ripen slowly. Nice extraction in the glass captures the eye, but, it's the i...

Yay! It's the 4th of July and hot as all get out! So that presents a bit of a challenge for the red wine lover, what to drink on a hot day with lots of old fashioned American food? Do you wimp out for a chilled rose? Or do you go for the gusto? We...

Wow, Cabernet Franc just blew by a lot of other red varietals on my favorites list with this bottle. Simply outstanding to this wine lover of little knowledge. Enjoyed it with a grilled top sirloin medallion. Did I say, Wow?

What is there to say? Krug is Krug. Remí Krug has been quoted as saying "if the Grande Cuvée is a basic non-vintage champagne then Rolls Royce is just a car." Or something similar. So true. It may seem overpowering for some people (it's not a bubbly yo...

Red,You've just ascended to higher wine lover status. I didn't want to comment on your pending Apothic tasting. Now, had you said you loved it, that would be okay. You will find that your palate will change and you will enjoy wine of higher quality and quickly discern the difference. Higher quality certainly doesn't necessarily mean expensiv... Read More

Looks like an interesting wine VV. It seems with much of wine consumed, or at least in reading tasting notes on quality wines, that there is not enough tannin in the wine or the wine has big tannin that need time to resolve. I for one am a tannin lover, though I'm interested in how they are managed, with the skins, seeds, and oak. Read More
