Wine Exchange was originally established in Orange, California in 1982 under our previous name, Liquor Exchange. In 1990 we officially changed our name to Wine Exchange, more properly reflecting our wine orientation. Since the beginning our philosophy has been to diligently select the world's finest wines and operate as efficiently as we can, allowing us the opportunity to operate on a much lower margin than our competition. In fact, Wine Exchange was one of the first wine stores in Southern California to adopt a discount format for selling fine wine. The concept was to buy large quantities of wine, taking advantage of discounts available, and pass those savings onto the consumer without abandoning our commitment to service and selection. Wine Exchange has a multi-page newsletter we call the Stock Report (such as it is), typically 48-64 pages full of original information that has been published every month since February, 1985. We run a wine tasting program based on subjects which we create ourselves Read more »

  • Winex is a fantastic wine store. Their team is enthusiastic and knowledgable, their palates and noses are good to excellent (they select great wines, consistently), yet their prices are excellent, I've never had a bad bottle of wine sold to me. To my knowledge Winex was the first store in the area to adopt the Napa Technology preservation mach...

  • Wow, a tough one, Ron.I have no experience with any instance like this, but my knee-jerk reation would be to contact the vendor, show them your pictures, and ask for an exchange or refund.  I doubt that you will be made whole, but you might get something.  Sadly, that something might be a token partial credit to be applied to future purchases, w... • Special treat tonight - to celebrate the possible sale of my chopper to a guy in Kentucky!  He's complaining about having to come 450 miles to get the bike, but I'm not going to ride it 200 miles and meet him half way to exchange $11,000 in cash, you know what I mean?  We'll see how this works out.  So I washed and waxed Sandra's yellow Smart ca... • This is pertinent to that other thread I started on product placements (sortof) in movies and TV. But I'm pained to say also deserves posting here because it is actually, at this far into the 21st century, good QPR for Bordeaux reds, whether merlot- or cab-centric. Both are excellent wines in their respective ways, and they were fortunately neve... Read More

  • Wow, that one is pretty interesting.  It's from the Malaga region of Spain (right on the Mediterranean), it is a non-vintage and my guess is that it is a sweet wine.  I, suppose, though, that you could have Googled it just like I did, and, so, you may already know that.  We do have some pretty sharp Spanish wine people who play here, occasionall...
