After years of running a successful contemporary art gallery, Stefano Campanini couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. While many people enjoy contemporary art, even more people enjoy drinking wine while looking at art or drinking wine while looking at wine. Through this realization and with the aid of other enophiles with wine-business savvy, Stefano merged his passions for art and wine under the moniker Wine by the Bay, located downtown.

“I am looking forward to offering something that everyone enjoys and in an environment where the art can be appreciated by many and in an unintimidating way," Campanini says of the new, modern, 1,200-square-foot fine-wine and art boutique with terrace views of Biscayne Bay and a steady rotation of exhibitions. "At art openings, wine is like a sideshow, but now, it will take center stage."

  • Hi, my wife and I received a nice bottle of wine as a wedding present that we've now been cellaring for over 5 years (planning to enjoy on our anniversary in the future when its time, online people suggest to 'hold' still). We've never cellared wine before, but it's been fun to have this special bottle that we're waiting to enjoy together over m... Read More

  • Here for business, but finding the time to work in some wine escapades. Last year I met several Chicago wine people at a Burgundy tasting, and earlier this year some more at La Paulee. So on short notice I decided to let them all know I was coming to town, and luckily I got a good tip on an excellent restaurant near my hotel, Nico Osteria. Have ... Read More

The reason, you ask?  I opened a bottle of pinot noir from this very estate for guests at a dinner party at our home, not realizing it was the only such bottle that my boyfriend owned, and that the winery no longer existed.  The wine was enjoyed by... • There’s nothing quite like having wine friends. After all, our mutual topic of interest is a social lubricant. But there’s so much more to it, as Snooth’s recent blogger trip will attest. Earlier this month we had the opportunity to explore one of the country’s oldest and up-and-coming wine regions: Lodi, California. It still amazes me that a si... Read More
