Wine By The Bay
After years of running a successful contemporary art gallery, Stefano Campanini couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. While many people enjoy contemporary art, even more people enjoy drinking wine while looking at art or drinking wine while looking at wine. Through this realization and with the aid of other enophiles with wine-business savvy, Stefano merged his passions for art and wine under the moniker Wine by the Bay, located downtown.
“I am looking forward to offering something that everyone enjoys and in an environment where the art can be appreciated by many and in an unintimidating way," Campanini says of the new, modern, 1,200-square-foot fine-wine and art boutique with terrace views of Biscayne Bay and a steady rotation of exhibitions. "At art openings, wine is like a sideshow, but now, it will take center stage."– Description from bevsites

Hi, my wife and I received a nice bottle of wine as a wedding present that we've now been cellaring for over 5 years (planning to enjoy on our anniversary in the future when its time, online people suggest to 'hold' still). We've never cellared wine before, but it's been fun to have this special bottle that we're waiting to enjoy together over m... Read More
Here for business, but finding the time to work in some wine escapades. Last year I met several Chicago wine people at a Burgundy tasting, and earlier this year some more at La Paulee. So on short notice I decided to let them all know I was coming to town, and luckily I got a good tip on an excellent restaurant near my hotel, Nico Osteria. Have ... Read More
I found your site when I was searching for information on the Arcadian Winery of the Finger Lakes. The reason, you ask? I opened a bottle of pinot noir from this very estate for guests at a dinner party at our home, not realizing it was the only such bottle that my boyfriend owned, and that the winery no longer existed. The wine was enjoyed by... Read More
So in my line of work--some of you know that I'm a criminal defense attorney in the Bay Area--we don't often cross paths with the winemakers of the bay area. But every now and then a case shows up in court that involves the wine world. Two have attracted my attention this month. The first involves Donkey and Goat, a hip winery in Berkeley tha... Read More
This past August, as you may have heard, a group of African-American women were booted from the Napa Valley Wine Train for being loud and bothering other passengers. Police officers were waiting for them when the train stopped and they were unceremoniously ushered off the train. This past Saturday, a group of 35 wine enthusiasts boarded the Win... Read More
In this day and age when nearly every secret to the universe can be solved by a split-second Google search, it's somewhat unbelievable that anything new can be uncovered. Yet that's exactly what happened this past week when Next Avenue reporter Jodi Helmer dug into the lesser-known wine regions of the United States and unearthed four wine regio... Read More
There's a happy rumor (OK, it is more than a rumor.) that Myriad is going to release a 2014 Syrah from Halcon Vineyard grapes. This sound pretty exciting to me. I was introduced to Halcon here on Snooth and for the past few years I have been regularly ordering all their wines. The opportunity to try another winemaker's interpretation of this ... Read More

There’s nothing quite like having wine friends. After all, our mutual topic of interest is a social lubricant. But there’s so much more to it, as Snooth’s recent blogger trip will attest. Earlier this month we had the opportunity to explore one of the country’s oldest and up-and-coming wine regions: Lodi, California. It still amazes me that a si... Read More
After a tryst with the new girl in town, several Bay Area wineries are going back to their first love. This past Thursday, the San Francisco Business Times ran a story about wineries making the switch from synthetic closures to cork after two-stepping a few songs with the synthetic Siren. Reporter Chris Rauber approached the shift through the e... Read More
