“If you are looking for a particular product and we are able to source it, then we will provide it for you at a competitive price.” We are service oriented and will do everything possible to ensure your total satisfaction. We use all of our experience and judgment to source only wines that have a history of impeccable provenance. Once our wines are received, we take great pride in maintaining them in temperature and humidity controlled storage at all times. We are more than happy to discuss the condition and provenance of all our wines with you at any stage. Our pricing is based upon our purchase costs. Rare wines are a constantly depleting resource, and purchase costs, unfortunately, are always on the rise. The prices for old and rare wines have continued to increase, sometimes 10-15% annually, as demand for these wines has escalated dramatically over the last few years. We are happy to advise you on wines to acquire for both long and short term cellaring. Many of our customers purchase wines for Read more »

  • One of our charming new posters, cysurvivor, was fishing for recommendations here for a visit over MLK weekend.  Since we're all pretty free with our half-baked ideas and opinions, we had plenty of ideas for him, didn't we?  Since Mauritson kept showing up on the list, it looked like it would make the final cut, so I went on private messaging an... • Secret Santa 2015 was a success!  We eventually figured out who the senders and recipients were based on past drinking habits and assorted sleuthing.  Some bottles were consumed quickly but others are in storage awaiting the right moment to enjoy them.  Thanks to everyone for participating.  Final pairings are listed below:JONDERRY - received bo... • There were three of us, or actually 2 1/2 since my wife didn't drink much and doesn't like whites. The burgers were going to be 50/50 bacon/beef, which opened a world of possibilities so we decided to go all-American. Halcón Vineyards Prado to start, a 50.50 Marsanne/Rousanne blend that would have gone really well with the mushroo... Read More

  • I spearheaded this incredible custom design last month. The ambient temperature in my region is approximately 55 degrees throughout the day; ideal for harnessing the explosive potential lurking within this vast selection. The tight seal on this cellar door makes for the perfect, dank environment. I have plans to expand later this year. Okay, eno... Read More

  • Due to popular demand (don't ask where that demand came from or you'll spoil my fun), we appear to need some new wine discussion topics.  This topic was only relevant to Thursday as a test case but was subsequently expanded to cover the weekend too.  What ever you bring up in this topic should either occur on a Thursday - Sunday, or it could be ... • We've all bought a bottle of wine that turned out to be a bad procurement decision.  Perhaps you sampled one to many in a tasting room and everything was splendid at the time, or better yet - you were in a big hurry to get a bottle at the last minute for a dinner party and wanted to try something different.  Well, here's your chance to warn your... • Hi everyone.  My wife Sandra and I have been into wine for the past few years and that's led to a few trips to Napa Valley and related areas in 2012 and 2013.  We enjoy all wines but reds are our favorites.  We hosted our first wine tasting party last night and it was a fun event - sixteen wine lovers trying different wines in a blind tasting.  ...
