Established in 2002, we set out to demystify wine by bringing fun & no-nonsense wine tastings to people in their own homes. We were inspired by a mutual love of wine and a growing interest in the subject. Our training made us realise that with a little knowledge people could get a lot more out of wine and the more knowledge they had, the more they would enjoy it. The ThirtyFifty on-line shop soon followed, enabling customers to buy wines quickly and simply. Customers who have attended wine tastings can log on to view how they rated the wines and buy wines they know they will like. Our wine tastings are proving increasingly popular with groups of friends with an interest in wine who want to be entertained and educated. In addition to private parties we run corporate wine tastings and fund-raising events for charities. From our early days in the London area, we've increased our national coverage with a team of wine experts running tastings across England, Wales and Scotland. Our wine list reflects a good cross section of wine styles and regions. Though the wines are from all over the world, New Zealand features strongly - Chris is a Kiwi. In 2008, ThirtyFifty picked up the International Wine Challenge Wine Educator of the Year award and came highly recommended in 2009 - we were chosen not only for our tastings and the educational content of our website, but for our wine podcast, The UK Wine Show.
