The Imperial Wine Company on Snooth
A few days ago I participated in a tasting/pairing event that featured white wines. One of the wines was Chablis, and, while discussing this one, the facilitator stated that it was fermented in steel and had never seen oak. It's been fun but I've never tried to put a wine in front of someone smoking a cigar. Now that everyone knows I'm the "Wine Guy" I've been asked to supply next weeks smoking event with some wines. YIKES.I don't know where to s... Read More

RBoulanger, who started the project, and I have been gradually adding depth and breadth to a Google map of bars that can provide quality cocktails. It is, given our passports, US-centric at the moment, although there is a bit of a diaspora. I think it's reached the point where neither of us would be terribly embarrassed for other people to see i... Read More
Well good bye Pinot, for now, and Hola Tempranillo! We now get started in exploring Spain's greatest grape but I am excited to see that many Californian producers have begun to experiment with this under appreciated variety. Much of California resembles some of the great growing regions of Spain so it will be exciting to see what winemakers have ... Read More
