The Spirit Shoppe was originally established in 1959. Our family purchased it in 1993 with the goal of creating a highly selective, specialty wine shop. My father and I have worked together over the years to solidify this dream. At that time, read more...the store was focusing on beer and a small offering of wines. I, Devin Vollmer, originally studied Criminal Justice at NYIT and had spent most of my life working closely with my Father who dealt in 18th and 19th century American antiques. Due to my growing passion of wine and my close relationship with my Father, we decided to leave our current paths and open the store. Over the past 16 years, we have expanded the selections to over 2,000 skus of wine, 200 plus skus of single malts and a wide selection of specialty malt beverages and liquors. My passion has brought me to focus on small, artisan wineries from around the world, with particular emphasis on France, Italy and Spain. Please come and visit us in the near future.
