Or, I’ll taste a wine that sells for $25 and know that it’s really worth about half that ... and, again, read a stellar review of it somewhere. How about the time that one well-known wine critic told everyone to mortgage the house, raid the saving account and buy, buy, buy as much of one newly released wine that they could get their hands on. Two days later, the wine maker recalled the wine, taking back and destroying every bottle. The wine had become infected with brettanomyces, a type of yeast infection, which made the wine smell like Read more »

  • Quady 'Red Electra' Muscat

    Snoothrank:

The Red Electra, along with the "white" version Electra, are very low in alcohol -- and make a great sipping wine. As one reviewer said, "crisp-sweet-bubbly-cranberry" is a good description. Although here is a hint, if you want a real treat, make it into a slushy. Both Electras can be frozen and converted into a marvelous little icy treat. T... Read More
