Back in 1964, when Robert Mondavi was still planning and dreaming of his own winery, Red Carpet opened in Glendale. In the spirit of numerous California wineries, we are a family run business. Our selection of wines and spirits is vast - covering the best areas and producers in the world. But our reputation is for customer service. Knowing a regular customer's tastes and preferences. Helping a novice wine-lover through the maze of names and styles of wine, or assisting with the needs for a family get-together. These are the qualities which well separate us from the average liquor store, grocery store, or discount house. Our retail store is located in Glendale, California but we also specialize in mail-order shipments of wine and gifts to almost any address in the United States. Now into our 4th decade, we look forward to servicing your particular needs for the next 40 years. – Description from AlexJelena

It was a good value and DEFINATELY a tasty, crisp drinkable chardonna... Read More

  • When I first saw a picture of the new winery at Cascina Adelaide, with the quaint village of Barolo in the Background, I though it was a computer generated mock-up. This landed spacecraft in the middle of meticulously kept lawns lent a distinct Monty Pythonesque quality to the looming towers of Barolo. But no, it is all so real. The incredible f... Read More

  • My parents are off to Bordeaux in September and they asked me to help them plan which wineries to visit. I think they'd prefer the right bank wines (more merlot!), but other than that i dont have much advice for them. Can anyone recommend any specific chateau's that are nice to visit. They are there for 3 days and they'd prefer a mix of venues f... Read More

  • Who's brilliant idea was it to get a beige couch???? Yes, its a "hip" and versatile color. Looks nice with most accent colors and really makes a room pop. It also makes people believe I've got some style. But it shows dirt and stains like you wouldn't believe. And, yes, I admit it. I'm quite the clumsy one. Especially if you feed me alcohol.I l...
