Blanc & Rouge is a wine shop that has been serving the historic neighborhood of Dumbo, in Brooklyn, New York, since 2000. The name is French, in honor of the founder's nationality and passion, but the stock is international, covering all major wine producing regions. We have over 150 wines that retail for $15 or less. Although our shop features every-day values, our e-commerce business focuses on the rare and hard to find. We know that these wines require great care. We buy our rare wines only from reliable sources, and only if we are assured that the provenance is good. Many of our rare wines were purchased on release. All rare wines are stored on premises at perfect cellar temperature.

I smell White Pepper too. There is a freshness that I might venture to say a few reviewers out there are mistaking for Anise. This freshness is two things. The First is celery!Yes, celery. J... • Toulot Blanc Ugni Blanc Blend Rouge Tannat Blend Vdp des Côtes de Gascogne France 2008

    Snoothrank:

This is an easy 4 glass rating, probably deserves a little more. Has an aromatic nose of dark fruit and licorice perfume. The palate is dense and compact, with a good balance of fruit, minerality, licorice, and some underlying spice from the small cabernet content (5% cabernet franc, 5% cabernet sauvignon, 90% merlot). Medium, dry finish. Ver... Read More

I also need to work on a 2009 vintage report for Harpers Wine & Spirit. But allow me just to reflect on a marvelous Chateau Eglise Clinet Pomerol 1989 whose plum and spice richness matched a New Year's Day prime rib of beef perfectly.
