Blanc & Rouge is a wine shop that has been serving the historic neighborhood of Dumbo, in Brooklyn, New York, since 2000. The name is French, in honor of the founder's nationality and passion, but the stock is international, covering all major wine producing regions. We have over 150 wines that retail for $15 or less. Although our shop features every-day values, our e-commerce business focuses on the rare and hard to find. We know that these wines require great care. We buy our rare wines only from reliable sources, and only if we are assured that the provenance is good. Many of our rare wines were purchased on release. All rare wines are stored on premises at perfect cellar temperature.

  • I'll be in Charlotte, NC on business the week of February 24th, and was hoping some locals might be able to help out with a few questions, and maybe get together to open a bottle or two. Any help would be appreciated, and it would be great to meet Snoothers from that neighborhood. -Bob1) Are there any BYOB restaurants in Charlotte?2) If so, what... Read More

  • Greetings!I share an article I had published in Harpers Wine & Spirit (UK) based on two tastings earlier this month in Washington DC.2013 looks to be an, er, difficult vintage. But as some of the 11s proved, one can find a few bright spots. Will prices come down far enough to garner any interest?I will head to Bordeaux for the barrel tastings in... Read More

Love the wines but the space is getting a little tight...)So it seemed lik... Read More

  • Just a quick hello. I am totally un-educated in the wine realm. As a matter of fact I never drank a glass until over age 40 and even then barely could finish it and would usually switch to a nice dark beer LOL.  Anyway about 2 years ago my good friend's husband decided he was going to show me what I was missing and every time we went out to dinn... • Hi Guys:In my ongoing saga of trying to learn how to cook, I'm planning on giving lobster thermidor a whirl soon. I'd like to pair it with 2-3 wines, mostly as a pairing experiment to see which works best. Any ideas? I was thinking I could potentially combine the dinner with the vintage VS NV champagne combo I've been meaning to do...other ideas... Read More
