  • We have a goat cheese ready, but no blue cheese (which I don't like) is available at the moment.  I just opened our bottle and the cork broke apart.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr.  I had to use a tea strainer to keep the bits and pieces out of the glasses.  Oh well.  We are ready. Read More

  • Writing is a cathartic exercise. The same can be said about tasting wine. Amazing things will happen when the two practices are merged. Tasting notes are an opportunity to sharpen your palate and uncover curious flavors. Pineapple tops? Dentist’s office chair? • Beringer Sparkling Red Moscato NV

    Snoothrank:

Trustworthy in name, Beringer delivers another tasty wine to its arsenal, this time a red spritzer. In the bottle, the appealing ruby Moscato is dressed for an evening cocktail party complete with popping cork topper. The flavour that hits me first seems from the bubbly, then transitions to a slightly tart sort of cranberry. That got me think... Read More

  • My mom bought it from a retail store in 1978 for my Dad's B-day. It was kept in a wine cellar in the basement in NJ. He then moved to Florida in 2004. It has been stored on its side the whole time and the cork has no damage to it.Most of the people I know would not appreciate the wine. Not a knock on them but not their glass of wine so to speak....
