We opened our doors in 2003. We have over 5400 square feet of wine inventory. We carry over 2500 different wines in-stock at any time. We have an extensive collection of hard-to-find collectible wines. All of our wines are stored either cork down or on their sides to prevent the corks from drying out. No sunlight ever disturbs our wines. Our overhead lighting system utilizes UV filters to protect the wines. We are “Green” with our shipping methods – no foam Our store really exists! We are not an internet-only-store that sells out of a distributors “book”. Distributors sell wine so fast that you can’t rely on their books, yet some “stores” will advertise everything a distributor has listed – only to tell you later the item is “sold out." This can be very frustrating for the buyer and really gives our industry a black eye. Our inventory is real. We don’t play games with having you order wines we don’t have. That’s right, some stores do this! We don’t Read more »

I do enjoy wines from other parts of the world but find I like the ones that have a claret style best. I dislike CA/domestic  fruit bombs that seem so prevalent and popular in the U S.My bias toward Bordeaux was probably set when a friend of mi... Read More

  • Thought I'd start a topic to see what "different" wines people are drinking. I've been on a hunt to find wines made from lesser known grapes or from unusual areas. Here's one of each. This is a rose made from Cinsault, not too unusual right? Well this is from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Either they don't make very good wine in Lebanon or this bo... Read More

  • Hey, I hear that VTs are coming back, with one scheduled for March!  Not to steal the thunder, so I won't leak what the region/grape is going to be (regulars, watch your mail boxes if you live in the US), but it's going to be good if my inbox is any indication.I'm opening up the floor to ask the question, "Who do you think will be the host?"  Ma... • In this case, a '79 Mondavi Chardonnay Reserve stole the show. Just the fact that it was still upright, despite passive cellaring (another from a previously discussed estate sale my neighbor scored on) was enough to write about. However, this surprisingly gave some real, almost sublime pleasure, despite being on the precipice of oxidation. It dr... Read More

  • Wine writers are not a homogeneous lot. We come in all shapes and sizes, and styles of course. Some prefer to dwell on a single wine at a time, others are more prolific. • It being earth day tomorrow I thought this would be a fine time to explore attitude towards the whole organic/natural/biodynamic movement. • After reading several of the posts here I realize that as a casual drinker I am  very much a wine novice but a recent bout with my mortality has given me a new appreciation for the things I enjoy.  Living in Washington/Oregon I have tasted many wines but most were introduced to me by friends who are much more knowledgeable than I am. I never rea...
