  • Brecon Estate Conviction Adelaida District Paso Robles 2015

Fruity on the nose with lemon, grapefruit and green apple notes plush and fresh and a touch of oak. Perky acidity and a bit spicy on the palate, the citrus and stone fruit character continues with white peach, pink grapefruit and lemon pith, finishing with more oak notes that are more on the herbal side than the creamy side. • I typically shy away from Pinot Noir, preferring more full bodied, dark & dense varieties. But I have had a couple Pinot's that knocked my socks off. In each case, these were made New World style with very concentrated extraction resulting in a fruity palette and dense mouth feel. But I don't recall what wines/vintages were like this.Would love t... Read More

  • Way back in the last decade of the 20th Century, Adelaida (one of v v's favorites) released a Blanc de Blancs that had about 10 years on it.  It was pretty good, although, I'm not that discriminating on sparkling wine.  I came to own 5 or 6 bottles and drank the last one in 2013. Read More
