Bounded on the north by the ridge of the hills forming the southern border of the Yakima Valley, and on the south by the Columbia River, the 570,000 acre Horse Heaven Hills AVA benefits from its unique location in several ways.

  • The first bottle of CC Horse Heaven Hills I opened (in the spring) I wondered how it could possibly have been on the Wine Spectator top 100.  Next one I let breathe a while and it was a decent wine for the money for sure, but am still a little baffled that it could make the top 100 list.  For not quite $20, the Kiona cab sav kicks CC's butt.
