This classic red wine is from an under the radar winery. It is a Port-like wine of huge stature--dark/inky, complex with a slight tar character, spice, plum and intense berry. Delicious! The same quality as a top end vintage Port from Portugal. My rating-- 96 Read More

Lovely nose shows gentle layers of blackberries, strawberry and brambly spice. Smooth and a touch sweet in the mouth, this delivers a nicely vanilla-framed core of rather black cherry fruit, with accent notes of wood spice and pepper adding complexity. Theres a little meatiness to the black spice on the back end, along with a hint of some stemmy... Read More

With aromas of old wood and something vaguely dirty here, this takes a while to pull itself together. Air does reveal some spicy carob notes and vaguely red currant like fruit. Ripe and fleshy with great bramble fruits with flavors of red and black berries, hints of licorice, spice and mineral. It's leaning more toward jammy with super ripe fruit, but balanced well with the other influences which keep it from going too far to being a fruit bomb. Nice wine. Beautifully concentrated fruit.88 pts.7/9/12 Read More

Upon opening i got hints of plums and violets. Overall the wine was very smooth and had notes of plum, raspberry's, cherry's and some smokey oak hints. I liked it enough but i was actually expecting more from this one so i would probably buy this again but only if i couldn't find something i liked better. Read More
