  • Yep, Inglenook is in Rutherford and To Kalon is in Oakville. Gustave Neibaum bought the Rutherford property in 1867 and started Inglenook Winery. A year later Hamilton Crabb purchased 240 acres in Oakville. He planted 130 acres naming it Hermosa Vineyards. He later, in 1877, renamed it To Kalon. Lots of ownership changes between the two properti... Read More

Outstanding Merlot! Big and lush with ripe fruit and big alcohol. Fantastic smoothness with some very good structure. This would give Duckhorn or Shafer Merlots a run for their money. This is another example of Merlot done the right way! Cheers! Read More

  • Apsara Sauvignon Blanc Rivers Reach 2014

Very pretty clear yellow color. Lots of fresh fruit aromas, but its hard to pin anything down. On the tongue, it is nice to get just a hint of grapefruit instead of that full-on, in-your-face blast that so many SBs seem to have these days. Also, some melon flavor. Some grassiness. Very restrained on the acidspeaks to the control of the grap... Read More
